Biography

I have been ‘trying’ to draw and paint, in other words doodling, since early childhood – a skill that I inherited from my dad. Besides the weekly ‘drawing class’ as a part of our secondary curriculum, and a little bit of favoritism and encouragement from our art teacher in school, who happened to be a respected artist in the Academy of Fine Arts in his time, I never received any formal training in art. Like any hobby, my artistic endeavors never came to the forefront due to other priorities at different phases of life. And to add to this, I have many hobbies.

My wife has been the biggest fan of my art and I must admit that if it wasn’t for her I might not have picked up my brushes and spent as much time as I spend today. I like to play with different media although most of my work is in watercolor. In a world of experienced artists, professionals and hobbyists, I am still continuing to learn and hone my skills, and I am thoroughly enjoying the journey.
