Artist Statement

I believe Art is an essential tool of self-expression and self- exploration! Art was in the core my heart even though I belonged to a highly academic oriented family in Math and Science and I too following that background got trained as a Biochemist. After coming here, I worked in several pharmaceutical industry and research labs. But Art never left me and I painted in whatever time I got from my busy schedule of work and regular chores of Home.

While growing up in India The strong fascination to colors lead me to do embroidery, knitting and pencil drawings.
Finally in Covid by my Husband’s encouragement and support I picked my brush seriously and started painting. My favorite media is Oil, Acrylic and Pencil drawing. I special interest is to capture emotional state of Human form in action or Portrait and culture and colorful rituals of Indian tribal people. I also earned a degree in Computer design and graphic.
