Biography
Smitha Bharadwaj has been an IT professional , living in the Boston area for over 30yrs. She retired in 2025 and has been focussed on pursuing her passion for art, travel and music.
In her own words
As an artist, I like to explore different subjects from buildings and streets to nature to people. I especially am drawn to the day to day aspects of life. The casual scenes of everyday work tell a million stories and I feel like a storyteller telling a story through my paintings. I like to paint portraits that express different feelings and primarily work with Charcoal and watercolor . My main inspiration has been my mother, who was an artist herself and I spent many hours of my childhood watching her paint.
